Nesiyot (Journeys)

Our journeys are spiritual and actual, far and local. We have traveled to the Lower East Side. Rabbi Lewittes has led multiple trips to Israel and has traveled to Poland to deliver a Torah to a Jewish community. Our dream itineraries include family trips to Israel, a cycling tour through the Napa Valley to study the story of wine in Jewish tradition, a trip to Ellis Island and the Jewish Theological Seminary's rare book room, a family retreat over Shavuot weekend, and other exciting and meaningful destinations. Carrying guidebook, historical survey and sacred text as we travel, we expand our perspective of the world around us, and our place within it.

Eastern Europe: Jewish Remembrance and Renewal
May 18-26, 2011

Join Rabbi Adina Lewittes to explore the darkness of Eastern Europe's Jewish past and the sparks of light that are illuminating its miraculous, if unimaginable, rebirth.

Visits to the camps, to historic Jewish districts and to Jewish cemeteries will be complemented by visits to growing Jewish schools, community centers and synagogues of all kinds. Meet local Jewish leaders, teachers, writers, artists and musicians who are documenting the past as well as those who are writing the future. Reflect on the process of renewal in the life of our people, as well as in our own personal experiences and journeys*.

Our trip will include daily study and spiritual reflection with Rabbi Lewittes, local private guided tours, private ground transportation, first class accommodations and gourmet meals.

DESTINATION ISRAEL: A Multigenerational Adventure

Join Rabbi Adina Lewittes and families of all ages for 10 days of spiritual, intellectual and recreational adventure in Israel. Visit the variety of cultures and communities that make up our diverse State, walk/hike/rappel the different terrains of our homeland, meet the chefs, artists, musicians and technology innovators that make Israel one of the most dynamic countries in the world, encounter our Jewish past and join the discussion about our Jewish future*.
